Benchmark Construction, Inc. is a commercial general contractor serving the Metropolitan Washington DC area.

After serving as Director of Construction for a national grocery chain, David Printz launched Benchmark Construction, Inc. in 1994 specializing in supermarket renovations. Few contractors in the area can navigate through a busy supermarket, moving departments, installing new plumbing lines, building bulkheads, etc. all while keeping the cash registers “ringing”. A successful renovation only happens when quality construction is performed with minimal disruptions to operations and no loss of revenue. This does not happen by accident. Experience, planning, preparation, training and efficiency are key ingredients in every project.

Today, renovations are just one part of what Benchmark Construction, Inc. does. Medical office, new supermarket, institutional, restaurant, retail and general office construction are performed with the same level of commitment and attention to detail.
